Registries aren’t all the fun we expected them to be…don’t get us wrong, its fun to pick things out and dream, but we also want to find things that are worthwhile and will have some lasting value. To further complicate things, we already have collectively many housewares! These registries will be a process for us, so please continue to check them as we make additions by clicking on the store logo’s below!

So I realize this post is long overdue!! Life seems to get in the way sometimes However, everything is falling into place now and my stress is being relieved daily!! To name a few of the items of progress, I’ve ordered my dress, we’ve ordered our invitations and hopefully will be receiving those soon, I found a cake - yes there will be cake, good cake!!, I’ve also found a florist - no I won’t be doing the flowers myself like I’d originally said, I realized my thinking was a little ambitious

I will be making an additional trip out to Seattle in April to meet with the vendors we’ve chosen - ie I get to taste food and cake and smell pretty flowers!! We are getting excited it’s only 97 days away as of this moment! It’s hard to believe time flies so fast. We are looking forward to celebrating with all of you that are able to make the trip out there, and afterward with those of you who are not. Well that’s all for now, I must get ready for work…back to reality

Its now been one month to the day we have been engaged and we finally have a wedding date! It will be on June 16th at Olympic View Church of the Brethren in Seattle, Washington, followed by a reception at Russell’s in nearby Bothell.

We are excited to get everything planned now that the major job of setting date is finished. We each have ideas that will definitely make it unique. Jeanesse moved out of her apartment Sunday and into the house of a missionary couple where she’ll be for six months while they’re wrapping up their stint in Bangladesh. She would write this herself, but she’s temporarily without Internet in her new place. We are indebted to the help of Mike and Gail, Caitlyn, Russell, Mitchell, and Ben for their help loading and unloading the truck. With their help, we packed out the apartment in about four hours and unloaded it in less than one!

Although it’s a longer commute to work for her, she inherits a great backyard with a huge deck, hot tub, and garden. After unpacking most of the kitchen, we decided to take a celebratory dip in the hot tub. She was pretty cute, worrying about getting her ring in the brominated water. I insisted that it was alright (I’ve never heard of this being a problem before) but she didn’t want to do anything that might degrade its luster. Eventually she closed her eyes tight and pushed her hand in the water. It was really cute, and I respect her for wanting to keep that ring shining bright!

I was frequently reminded of our moving experience today with every heavy roll of drawings that passed by my desk.
